Approximately 10% of the area of EL 4581 has been relinquished upon its renewal for a second licence year. The only activities performed on this ground have been the acquisition of portions of ground gravity and airborne magnetic/radiometric surveys done during prior licence tenure as EL 3376, this work being managed by Havilah Resources NL, the former tenement owner. During February 2006, ~56 stations of a helicopter-assisted ground gravity survey comprising 217 stations in total was completed by Daishsat Geodetic Surveyors on EL 3376. The gravity stations were occupied on a 1 km x 1 km grid, and 6 of them are located within the recently relinquished area. Their raw gravity data readings were reported in the Kangaroo Island Project 2007 annual report. This particular dataset was released to open file by Monax on 18/10/2012 (see Env 10946). During October 2006, an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey totalling 3439 line km, and having a flight line spacing of 100 m and a nominal 50 m sensor height above the ground surface, was flown over Monax’s Parndana EL 3376 and Western River EL 3088. The relevant raw data were reported in the Kangaroo Island Project 2007 annual report. This dataset was also released to open file on 18/10/2012 (see Env 10946). In accordance with the Sunset Clause conditions of the SA Mining Act, upon the request of the Director of Mines, Monax had permitted all new exploration data related to EL 3376/4581 that was obtained up to 18/10/2012 to become open file. Subsequent to this date, no further work has been undertaken on the now relinquished area.
