A small area comprising two separate sub-blocks respectively located ~35 km and ~85 km west-northwest of Kimba has been explored for possible economic buried base and precious metal mineralisation that may have formed within Archaean metasedimentary bedrock and be related to younger igneous intrusions. Possible porphyry style Paris type silver mineralisation was also sought. During the first licence year, the only activity undertaken was the conduct of a review of past exploration records. The low tenor of soil assay results which Doray obtained at this time from preliminary reconnaissance sampling done on its adjoining EL 5364 Buckleboo led the company to downgrade the perceived prospectivity of EL 5405, and it was fully surrendered along with that other licence.
