A very small area located ~25 km north-west of Kimba has been explored for possible economic buried base and precious metal mineralisation that may have formed within Archaean metasedimentary bedrock and be related to younger igneous intrusions. Possible porphyry style Paris type silver mineralisation was also sought, as the licence area lay only 20 km south of the Gawler Range Volcanics outcrop margin. During the first licence year, following the conduct of a review of past exploration records, reconnaissance soil geochemical sampling (219 x minus 75 micron fraction samples) was performed along eight east-west traverses in July 2014, at 250 m intervals closing in to 100 m apart in places. No significant gold or silver assay values were returned; over two coherent gold anomalies, the highest values for gold were only 2 to 3 x background. Sporadic silver anomalism coincided with this low order gold. The sampled surface regolith material throughout EL 5364 consists of colluvial sediments or aeolian sediments, that sometimes are absent where there are sparse outcrops of highly to moderately weathered Hiltaba Suite granite. The low tenor of its soil assay results led Doray to downgrade the perceived prospectivity of the licence, and it was fully surrendered.
