Four separate licence portions together covering an area of 221 square km or ~42% of the former extent of EL 4565 have been voluntarily relinquished. The perceived prospective Karari Fault Zone and other places which possibly contain buried palaeochannels have been retained under tenure. The licensee is continuing there with its programme of magnetite exploration and other work addressing the potential for gold, base metals, uranium and heavy minerals. The only reported work with relevance to the relinquished ground was a literature review of heavy mineral sands potential that was made in February 2005, and the acquisition of part of a TEMPEST airborne EM survey flown in September-October 2006.
