A small licence area located 30 km north of Fowlers Bay in far western South Australia is being explored for possible economic Tertiary mineral sands deposits, targeting accumulations of rutile, zircon or ilmenite that may have formed as marginal marine strandline placers. The only work undertaken on the now relinquished licence portion was the flying of part of an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey during July 2013. The relevant subset of survey data is herewith released to open file. A preliminary interpretation of the image processed survey data, plus a review of previous explorer's drillhole data, did not reveal any anomalous areas of interest. The relinquished ground was chosen because it coincides with the Boondina Nature Reserve.
