An area of previously reported anomalous ground surface base metal geochemistry spanning the northern Mount Painter and adjacent Mount Babbage basement inliers was re-sampled by the licensee to validate the earlier results, via regional stream sediment sampling (1672 samples at an average sample density of 9.4 samples per square mile). The work demonstrated the existence of six main areas of coherent copper anomalism, besides identifying many small, single sample minor copper and zinc anomalies worthy of follow-up. Subsequent closer-spaced stream sediment sampling at 33 of these latter sites was able to confirm 21 of them. However, no visible copper mineralisation was reported in their vicinity.
