Two adjoining areas located ~100 km north-west of the Olympic Dam mine have been explored for possible buried economic IOCGU deposits that may have formed in Proterozoic basement rocks. The only activity undertaken during the whole 30-months period of tenure was an open file data review and attempts made at target generation through geophysical data inversion modelling and interpretation. Recently improved definition of the gravity anomaly on which Newmont's historic SR6 hole had been drilled in 1979, without reaching basement, was mentioned as a factor used in targeting.
