Reconnaissance surface calcrete sampling (13 samples), combined with the results of similar sampling conducted by other companies on earlier tenements that were held in the Wudinna area, disclosed four locations which are anomalous in gold and variously also in silver, zinc, nickel and manganese. These locations fall into an 8 km long south-southeast trending corridor which lies close to the northern boundary of EL 2669, just to the south of a calcrete gold anomaly (the WUD 1 anomaly) located on Adelaide Resources' adjacent licence EL 2211. It was considered likely that the WUD 1 anomaly could extend into EL 2669. Limited RAB/aircore and RC drilling of the WUD 1 anomaly, carried out on EL 2211 during 1999, had found anomalous levels of gold and arsenic in a carbonate host rock. Further infill calcrete sampling is warranted to confirm these anomalies as potential RAB drilling targets. Some regolith mapping will be done over the anomalies to assist with their interpretation.
