Reporting covering 1998 to October 2000 can be found in ENV08958 [CNO:2022138]. Exploration Licence 2560 Lake Charles is in the Frome Basin immediately southeast of Lake Frome and covers an area ~586 square km. The tenement straddles the Benagerie Ridge, a north-south trending, buried, basement ridge flanked by deeper buried basement covered by significant Adelaidean, Cambrian, Mesozoic and Cainozoic cover strata. A number of magnetic basement rocks have been intersected in the past and a number of major structures identified, plus previously drilled holes returning hydrothermally altered, mineralised and brecciated Paleoproterozoic metamorphics and altered Mesoproterozoic volcanics, suggests that the area is prospective for base and precious metal deposits. In the reporting period to 26th October 2000 to 25th October 2003, no field work was completed on EL 2560.
