Eden Energy Ltd contracted Quantec Geoscience Pty Ltd to record magnetotelluric data in 3 separate licence areas in the Cooper Basin area. The activity known as the Cooper Project was conducted in GEL 169, 177 and 185 and was conducted during January-February 2008. The purpose of the survey was to determine the depth to basement and possible conductive zones at depths of 3000-3500m and the potential to host potential geothermal reservoirs. A total of 78 stations were recorded over 4 lines in three separate licence areas. (13 stations in GEL 169 Bollards, 17 stations in GEL 177 Mungerannie and 45 stations over 2 lines in GEL 185 Moomba). Inversion of the data involved both 1D and 2D inversion models but only the PW2D model data is presented. In GEL 169 thicknesses of between 1200 and 1500 m are interpreted. For GEL 177 depths as shallow as 500m are indicated while for GEL 185 depths to over 2500 m are interpreted.
