A small area located east of Lake MacFarlane has been explored for possible economic Mount Gunson type sediment-­hosted copper deposits, unconformity style uranium mineralisation and IOCG-­U style volcanic breccia deposits. The only activities undertaken during the tenure period were office-based, being the review of historic exploration data and the analysis and interpretation of regional geophysical datasets. It was recommended that drilling be done to investigate the local prospectivity of the Tapley Hill and Cariewerloo Formations, as existing drillhole information on the area is scant.
