Regional stream sediment sampling conducted over an area of historically prospective ?Archaean, Proterozoic and Palaeozoic rocks in the Mount Painter - Mount Babbage - Mount Livingstone - Yudnamutana area did not reveal any base or precious metal anomalism of economic interest to the licensee. Anomalous tungsten (called wolfram by the author) and zirconium were noted in analyses of stream samples derived from Ordovician granite in the Freeling Heights - Mount Shanahan locality. Radiometric surveying of a creek bed west of Mount Adams, which was found to contain a few detrital torbenite specimens, did not return significant uranium results. It is considered that potential remains in this region for identifying extensive low grade copper sulphide mineralisation associated with faulting and brecciation in the vicinity of major igneous intrusions.
