An area located immediately south of Manna Hill township and the Barrier Highway was taken up to explore for sediment hosted primary gold deposits similar to those found in the Wadnaminga Goldfield. However, the target Neoproterozoic metasedimentary bedrock host sequence over ~60% of the tenement area is concealed beneath a thin veneer of recent alluvial deposits. During the first licence year, a field reconnaissance was made of possible prospective geological structures interpreted from existing aeromagnetic survey data. 14 grab rock chip samples of exposed bedrock were collected for laboratory assaying. During licence Year 2, the licensee collected a further 7 regional grab rock chip samples of altered bedrock units, but its activity concentrated mainly on evaluating historic mineral occurrences, taking 11 grab samples of selected lode / vein material to submit for laboratory assaying. During licence Year 3, the licensee performed portable XRF spectrochemical analysis of 96 soil samples scanned at 20 m intervals along four traverses covering a 450 m x 100 m grid laid out in the north-west of the licence, as well as collecting a further 9 rock chip samples. During licence Year 4, the licensee collected a further 8 rock chip samples from two historic small-scale surface workings not previously sampled. An earlier lone anomalous silver assay value recorded from bedrock in the vicinity of the abandoned historic Three Blocks mine was followed up, but the anomaly appeared to be merely an accessory to a very limited hydrothermal copper-bearing vein accompanied by an unrelated supergene manganese mineralisation occurrence. No more work was undertaken during licence Year 5, before the decision was made to fully surrender tenure.
