Exploration for possible lode extensions of stratiform base metal mineralisation worked at the historic Baratta - Eukaby mines has comprised gridding, geological mapping, costeaning, rock chip sampling, and exploratory inclined percussion/diamond core drilling on the southern limb of a syncline located 4 miles south of the old mines (1 hole to TD 118 feet, with a 12 foot precollar). A targeted fold repetition of the mineralised zone was not found. Known mineralisation within Sturtian and Marinoan series rocks at the old workings appears to be discontinuous, and the ore potential of this area has been severely downgraded. Possible Burra-style copper mineralisation hosted within Torrensian and Lower Sturtian metasediments on the Bibliando Dome in the north-western section of the licence area, and possible Blinman-type copper mineralisation associated with brecciated rocks of the Baratta Diapir in the central western part of the tenement, in the licensee's opinion are targets that presently remain untested and should form the basis of further work.
