A very small area centred ~7.5 km north-northwest of Cleve has been explored for possible economic buried graphite mineralisation that might have formed within highly metamorphosed bedrock sediments located adjacent to large crustal penetrating regional linear structures. During July 2012, part of a helicopter-borne EM/magnetic (REPTEM) survey was flown across the licence area, looking for conductivity anomalies perhaps denoting graphite bodies lying at the buried base of the Mesoproterozoic Blue Range Beds. Over EL 4673 ~30 line km were flown along SE-NW orientated flight lines spaced 100 m apart, using a 30 m mean sensor elevation above the ground surface. The contractor's processed EM data for selected conductivity depth slices were later reviewed to try to identify underlying structures and conductive bodies. One probable small igneous intrusion was identified. No other field work took place on the licence during the remainder of its first 5-year term, until a decision was made to allow tenure to lapse.
