GEL 503 to GEL507 were granted to Earth Heat Resources Ltd on 18th Dec 2009 over an area of the Adelaide Geosyncline centred on the township of Peterborough. The GEL licences 503, 504 and 507 combine with previously granted licences GEL 337, 338 and 339 which were granted on 1st September 2008 to form one set of contiguous licences. GEL 505 and 506 were located further north, closer to the town of Cradock. Multiple suspensions for these licences were granted and finally GEL 503,504 and 507 were consolidated with GEL 337, 338 and 339 to form a new GEL 337 on 11th January 2012. GEL 505 and 506 were both relinquished on 3rd Nov 2011. The focus for this study area was to investigate the potential for high heat flow in the keel of the synclines of the Adelaide Geosyncline plus areas with favourable faulting and deformation and the influence on potential heat flow. The “new” GEL 337 (incorporating original licence areas 337,338,339,503,504 and 507) was surrendered on 25 Oct 2012 before the end of the second licence year. No field work or acquisition of data took place.
