During the period June through September 2002, the Commonwealth Government acquired some detailed airborne EM survey coverage of the Riverland irrigation district in eastern South Australia, for the purpose of assisting with research into salinity management and mitigation. A total of 11, 476 line km was flown along north-south orientated flight lines spaced either 150 m or 300 m apart, using a 30 m mean sensor elevation above the ground surface. The open file processed EM data is available free of charge upon request, or can be download directly using the Jetstream facility on the SARIG website. The referenced CRC LEME project report gives an example of how this data has been applied to research having relevance to the minerals exploration industry.
