An area centred ~90 km south-west of Port Augusta has been explored for possible buried economic epithermal silver mineralisation and porphyry style Cu-Au mineralisation similar to that found recently by Investigator Resources at the Paris deposit situated further west along the southern margin of the Gawler Range Volcanics Domain. During the first licence year, licensee Currie reviewed the available open file geophysical, geochemical and geological data for the area, and identified some places with anomalous silver values returned by past soil sampling. The most promising of these was thought to be the Jacks Dam prospect in the south-eastern section of the licence, where a 4.5 km x 2.5 km extent of the cover appeared to contain elevated silver values that peaked at around 200 ppb Ag. Two lesser silver-in-soil anomalies, Triumph South and Salt Creek, which however also carry significant zinc-lead as shown by earlier explorers' RAB drillhole bedrock intercepts, were noted to be spatially associated with a SW-NE trending basement shear zone. During licence Years 2, 3 and 4, Currie did no work. The company sought to attract a joint venture partner to help it conduct infill surface geochemical sampling with a view to prioritising drill targets, but no interest was forthcoming. Eventually, tenure of the ground was allowed to lapse.
