Exploration for economic vein-style, epithermal/hydrothermal copper deposits in the Mount Margaret Range area has consisted of limited rock chip sampling (5 samples) and 1:1200 scale geological mapping at the Coominaree and War Loan mine workings, of more detailed soil sampling using grid or ridge and spur methods (555 samples), plus the conduct of test IP surveys, in the vicinity of those mines, of regional reconnaissance stream sediment sampling performed across the majority of the licence (1700 samples taken at 400 foot intervals), and of follow-up detailed prospecting and soil sampling to check a 2000 foot x 400 foot extent stream sediment copper anomaly located adjacent to a granite intrusion at Mount Fox. The latter anomaly was shown to arise from localised, pyrite - dominant sulphide mineralisation that may possibly have been mobilised from nearby volcanic rocks by the later intrusive event.
