Reconnaissance stream sediment geochemical sampling undertaken in the western half of the licence area, limited grab sampling of outcrop specimens from the visually copper-mineralised Wearing Dolomite Member noted in the eastern half, and follow-up channel sampling performed in the vicinity of the richest (to 2% Cu) hand specimens assayed, did not indicate the presence of large low grade base metal occurrences, and consequently tenure was abandoned. A true width of only 5 feet of 0.3% Cu was demonstrated along a detailed rock chip traverse made 3.5 miles south-west of Ironstone Bore in fresh carbonate rock, but no improvement in grade was foreseen to apply to the subsurface.
