Section 12 of the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Regulations 2013 require any person proposing to undertake activities relevant to petroleum production to prepare a draft Statement of Environmental Objectives (SEO) prior to production operations commencing. An SEO must identify any event which could arise from any regulated activity under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000 and may cause a serious or reportable incident. This SEO covers petroleum production operations in the Cooper Basin in South Australia.
