Two widely separate areas overlying parts of the Gawler Craton adjacent to the Olympic Domain have been explored for signs of IOCG type mineralising systems. In early October 2014, parts of a detailed ground gravity survey were acquired on the subject licences, to infill existing government 1 km x 1 km gravity data. 846 stations were read on EL 5027 over an offset 200 m x 400 m grid, and 1211 stations were read on EL 5029 over an offset 100 m x 200 m grid. Subsequent processing, validation and merging of the new data with existing open file gravity data was performed for Fortescue by consultants Intrepid Geophysics. No geophysical anomalies with the potential to host IOCG mineralisation were identified. Following the conduct of a data review during 2015-2016, Fortescue decided to surrender both licences.
