Two separate blocks together comprising 164 square km or ~10% of the former area of EL 5877 have been relinquished. No work was done on them. The ground had been taken up primarily to explore for possible economic graphite mineralisation which could have formed at shallow depth within buried, highly metamorphosed Archaean to Palaeoproterozoic sedimentary bedrock located adjacent to large crustal penetrating regional linear structures.
