Small parts of two licence areas located on the north-central Stuart Shelf, between 35 and 70 km north-northwest of the Olympic Dam mine, have been surrendered due to their perceived low prospectivity for Mesoproterozoic IOCG type mineralisation. Part of a Falcon airborne gravity gradiometer and magnetic survey was flown by BHP Billiton over the three now surrendered licence portions during 2014, but no basement gravity anomalism or interpreted geological features of interest were identified within them.
