Exploration and mining carried out at the mines so far is not enough to allow a full assessment of the mineralised area. The deeper old workings are now inaccessible, and there is no other evidence of primary sulphide ore. Nickel and bismuth assay results are not very encouraging. A few good copper assays were obtained, but this does not suggest an average mineable grade. However, the Cu values are sufficiently interesting to warrant further exploration of the area, which might comprise channel sampling of underground mine faces plus targeted IP surveying and possible later drilling of the lode system.
