Reconnaissance stream sediment sampling carried out at nominal quarter-mile spacing over an area of outcropping ?Archaean metasedimentary bedrock in the hinterland to Port Lincoln (290 samples) disclosed several strong copper anomalies (max. 350 ppm Cu) lying adjacent to the northern boundary of the licence, extending for ~2 miles and passing into the adjoining mineral exploration tenement (SML 354) held by Pechiney Explorations (Australia) Pty Ltd. No company agreement for a joint venture to explore the anomaly as one unit could be reached before it was decided to surrender tenure over the spatially minor southern portion of this anomaly.
