Trenching at the historic Warra Warra copper prospect returned assay values from lode channel sampling of up to 2500 ppm Cu, coinciding with malachite - bearing quartz-limonite veins and stringers developed parallel to bedding within a thin fine grained feldspathic sandstone unit, that itself is interbedded with dolomitic shales on the southern limb of an anticline. Most of the reconnaissance stream sediment and soil sampling results that gave values above local background (approx. 40 ppm Cu) appear to arise from spoil debris distributed during the former mining activity, as all anomalies occur proximal to old workings.
