A large part, ~79%, of a predominantly Recent sediment - covered licence area abutting the southern shore of Lake Eyre South between Bopeechee and Curdimurka has been relinquished. This ground, which had been taken up to explore for possible buried IOCG-U style mineralisation in the covered basement, is centred ~110 km NNE of Olympic Dam. During the first licence year, a detailed, 3230 line km helicopter-borne magnetic and radiometric survey was flown in October 2014 to cover the entire tenement along north-south flight lines 200 m apart, with a nominal flying height of 30 m above the ground surface. After processing of the raw survey data, a suite of images were compiled that delineated the variation in magnetic responses, these for the most part being interpreted as reflecting changes in basement lithology. The primary survey grid was subsequently infilled over the central two-thirds with a second survey sortie also flown at 200 m north-south line spacing for 1895 line km, to give an effective 100 m final flight line separation. [All of the data from this survey have been provided to DSD, and Javelin Exploration has agreed for them to be made available immediately via this data release, rather than the company otherwise excising from the full set the part relating to the retained tenement area]. Anomalous uranium responses discerned in the airborne radiometric data from just west of Stuart Creek were investigated in December 2014 with a single roadside traverse radiometric survey of 45 ground-based scintillometer measurements, and were found to be a result of outcropping Bulldog Shale bedrock on ridge tops. [Again, all of these data plus the acquisition and interpretation report are being released by the licensee now]. A preliminary ground gravity survey was acquired in December 2014 over an area south of Priscilla Springs, when 385 stations were read on a 200 m x 800 m grid and also at 400 m intervals along a single roadside traverse. 72 of the new gravity stations were located within the now relinquished area, and some high responses seen there were interpreted as being due to regional basement features. During licence Year 2, in March-April 2016, a regional gravity survey was acquired consisting of 2104 stations. Gravity data were initially read on an 800 m x 800 m grid, which was later infilled to 400 m x 200 m precision through the central portion of the survey area. 997 gravity stations were read within the now relinquished area. During licence Year 3, in April 2017, a detailed gravity survey consisting of 929 stations was acquired over selected gravity anomalies, including one in the north-eastern corner of EL 5471 around Smith Springs. Gravity data were read on 100 m x 100 m grid spacings. 415 gravity stations were read within the now relinquished area.
