Five small portions of the subject licence, with a combined total area of 143 square km, have been surrendered due to their now perceived diminished prospectivity for iron ore, gold, uranium and base metals. During the period of their tenure, exploration attention was directed primarily at the base metals potential of the Wirrida magnetic anomaly, a 10 km by 7 km magnetic high located in the centre of the licence. Work that was completed on the now surrendered portions of EL 5074 included: - the acquisition of parts of ground-based gravity and IP surveys, to provide data from which to generate targets; - rock chip geochemical sampling of calcrete regolith (8 samples); and - geochronology sampling of basement outcrop and lag detritus (2 samples). During September 2011, parts of a gravity survey were read at variable grid line and station spacing that was closed in to a 50 m x 50 m precision, and during April-May 2014, parts of a gradient array IP survey were read along north-south lines spaced 400 m apart. The geochronological dating samples were sent to CODES at the University of Tasmania for U-Pb isotopic analysis of zircon grains via the LA-ICPMS method. The results when plotted on concordia diagrams showed some age peaks that lie between 1570-1650 Ma, i.e. straddling the Mesoproterozoic Gawler Range Volcanics and Hiltaba Suite emplacement age range.

Notes: A farm-in agreement was in force between Apollo Minerals and High Power Exploration, Inc. (HPX) over the period 15/5/2014 to 21/8/2015, with HPX operating the Commonwealth Hill Project exploration programme during that period, when it spent over $1.1 million on work comprising >140 square km of high powered IP surveys, which identified multiple targets, and the drilling of five partially cored RC holes for 870 m. Geographic Locality: Commonwealth Hill Station;Woomera Prohibited Area;2011 Commonwealth Hill II Gravity Survey [part];2014 Commonwealth Hill IP Survey [part] Doc No: Env 11574
