An area of the Adelaide Fold Belt centred on the township of Whyte Yarcowie has been explored for possible buried economic hydrothermally emplaced cobalt mineralisation that might be associated with manganese oxides hosted by altered dolomitic metasediments. During the first licence year, the only work done was the collection of 23 grab rock chip samples to submit for laboratory assaying. The lithology sampled was typically thin (<5 cm wide) manganese veinlets found within a quartz vein - flooded area that appeared to cross-cut the local strata. No significant trace metal assay values were returned. During the ensuing four years of tenure, no further work was done, before it was decided to allow the licence to lapse at expiry of its first term.
