250 samples of sand recovered from a 1997 SA Government glass-making sand exploration programme undertaken in the Mount Compass area of the southern Mount Lofty Ranges were subjected to [grain] size analysis determinations. The samples were derived from Permian fluvioglacial sand horizon intercepts made in 63 exploratory RC drillholes. Sieve analysis data for the various grainsize fractions present in the samples is presented as tables of size distribution results expressed by fraction weight and proportionate percentage.
