Section 12 of the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Regulations 2013 require any person proposing to undertake activities relevant to petroleum production to prepare a draft Statement of Environmental Objectives (SEO) prior to any activity commencing. An SEO must identify any event which could arise from any regulated activity under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000 and may cause a serious or reportable incident within the meaning of section 85 of the Act. This SEO covers petroleum fracture stimulation operations in PELs 122 & 123 of the Arckaringa Basin of South Australia.
