The Hesso project is located in the Charlinga area approximately 65km North of Port Augusta along the Stuart Highway. The primary mineral target for the Hesso project is kaolin. Historic activities in the area reported occurrences of kaolinite clay in the vicinity of Hesso Homestead. The Hesso deposit is described as an outcrop of leached claystone of the Woocalla dolomite, with reported quarrying of the leached white clay regolith profile. Red dune sand covers most of the tenement along with some gibber. An outcrop of Tregolana Shale occurs along the boundary of the tenement along the road near Kell Swamp and is the source of the kaolin. Whyalla Sandstone also outcrops on the tenement in a few locations. During the reporting period, desktop studies were completed to evaluate the tenement and identify potential targets for kaolin. During the second licence year desktop studies continued to evaluate potential kaolin targets. Preliminary drill planning was also undertaken.
