An area located north-east of Mount Hope on south-western Eyre Peninsula continued to be explored for possible economic buried Archaean intrusive igneous body - related nickel mineralisation associated with the Polda Basin margin, and Archaean volcanic rock - hosted base metals and gold. Malache style base metal mineralisation together with possible associated uranium mineralisation was also a target. Only limited exploratory drilling of geophysical basement targets under 50 m to 200 m probable thickness of cover had earlier been completed in this area. No field work occurred on the subject licence during its entire tenure period. The licensee continued to do a detailed office-based evaluation of available aeromagnetic data, to assist in compiling a geological interpretation of the locally complex basement lithotypes, while the majority of work conducted on the broader project area was concentrated on the Oakdale graphite prospect identified on the company's adjacent Brimpton Lake tenement (EL 5721). A number of licence partial surrenders were effected over the tenure period.
