A small area centred on the Murninnie locality of north-eastern Eyre Peninsula, south of Whyalla, was taken up to further evaluate secondary uranium mineralisation known to occur on the western margin of the Tertiary Pirie Basin, where it is contained within fluvial/tidal channel sediments of the Eocene age Kanaka Beds. The only work that was done for this tenement before it was surrendered was an informal desktop analysis of previous regional data including drillhole data.
