An area located ~12 km south-west of Warramboo on central Eyre Peninsula has been explored for possible buried economic Archaean stratabound iron ore, as well as for other, basement-hosted polymetallic mineral occurrences. During the first licence year, no field work was done. A desktop review was made of historic geological, geophysical, geochemical and drillhole data, and the licensee commenced aeromagnetic data modelling and interpretation for target generation. The preliminary estimate of a potential total iron ore target resource at Nantuma is for 0.7 to 1.8 Bt of magnetite gneiss to occur at a potential average grade of 14% to 20% Fe. Within the licence area, the strike length of moderate to high intensity magnetic anomalies that can be attributed to magnetite gneiss is greater than 25 km. During licence Years 2 through 10, no work was done, due to pressing priorities for completing activities on other company acreage, and because the global price for iron ore was low. Alternative prospectivity for gold was assessed by reviewing historic surface geochemical data for the licence area, but no anomalies of interest were seen. A licence partial relinquishment of 138 square km or ~33.7% of the originally granted area, in two separate peripheral portions, was made on 20/12/2013. A second partial relinquishment of 25% of the retained licence area for EL 4815 was made at the end of Year 5, when tenure was renewed for a second term as EL 5923. Another 25% partial relinquishment was made at the end of Year 7, reducing the tenement size from 166 square km to 126 square km. A final reduction of it to 98 square km was made at the end of Year 9. Eventually it was decided at the end of 2021 to fully surrender EL 5923.
