There is a long history of exploration on the subject three Stuart Shelf tenements, with first tenure originally taken up in 1981. A summary of significant exploration activities conducted on the three now relinquished ground portions is believed by BHBP to be as follows: - Drilling by WMC of 2 diamond holes in 1981 and 1985, and one shallow RC water supply bore immediately west of Lake Torrens near the Myall Creek Inlet, for a total penetration of 1162 m. Hole RED1 intersected chlorite and hematite - altered dacite at the top and bottom of the drilled section, with an intervening 45 m thick central intersection of dolerite showing weak hematite dusting of feldspars. Hole RED2 encountered a felsic intrusive unit, with hematite alteration appearing to be stronger at the top of the hole, sericite alteration present throughout the hole and chlorite alteration strongest at the base of hole. Minor barite veins are present at the top of hole, while pyrite occurs in veinlets and is disseminated throughout the hole, and there is occasional minor chalcopyrite. No anomalous assay values were returned from analyses of drill core samples; - Parts of numerous ground gravity surveys acquired by WMC prior to 2004 (a subset of 415 gravity stations read at various grid spacings); - part of an airborne Falcon gravity gradiometry and magnetic survey flown by BHPB in 2006 along north-south lines spaced 300 m apart using an 80 m mean terrain clearance; and - part of a BHBP regional MT survey conducted during 2017-2018 (total 10 soundings). Due to the licensee's obligations arising under the Stuart Shelf Amalgamated Expenditure Arrangement, a portion of its remaining project acreage must periodically be relinquished. From exploration activities conducted on the subject areas, with resulting data fed into BHPB's in-house Mineral Potential mineral systems model, it has been determined that the surrendered portions of ground have perceived low geological prospectivity.
