Exploration Licence 6035 is located 70km south-east of Woomera, between Lake Torrens and Pernatty Lagoon. The target model for the area is high grade iron oxide copper gold mineralisation within the Proterozoic basement rocks. A farm-in joint venture was established between Red Metal and OZ Exploration Pty Ltd with OZ Minerals acting as manager and operator. During the first licence year Red Metals and OZ Minerals reviewed the historical drill core at the Tonsley core library (South Australia Drill Core Reference Library). A Native Title Mining Agreement for Exploration (NTMAE) was signed with the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation in peroration for ground activities. This was followed by a Native Title Heritage Survey of proposed drill locations. Drilling had commenced at the time of reporting, further details will be reported during the next reporting period.
