Swan Lake 3D Seismic Survey Area, Cooper Basin This review was undertaken to provide an understanding of the stratigraphy and reservoir distribution in the sub VC50 Cooper Basin section. This interval incorporates the red and green units of the Patchawarra Formation and the Tirrawarra Sandstone and Merrimelia Formation (Figure 1 and Figure 2). This geological information will feed into a larger study having a primary objective of locating either a vertical or deviated well/s into a naturally fractured sub VC50 section. This data, in conjunction with other field characterisation studies, geo-mechanical modelling and seismic analysis and mapping will be integrated to complete the study.
