Exploration for possible economic stratabound/stratiform copper, zinc and vanadium mineralisation occurring within a large area located south-west of Marree has consisted of geological field mapping and regional stream sediment sampling (3470 samples), with lesser follow-up soil, rock chip and mine sampling. Most of the copper and lead anomalism detected is thought to be due to surface contamination from past workings and from spillage during ore transportation, whereas extensive but minor elevated vanadium values ranging from 200 to 1080 ppm V, seen mainly in the north-western part of the licence area, are of ongoing interest, as are a few trace silver values recorded from within a 5 square mile zone of diapiric breccia near Twenty Mile Hill.
