A reservoir characterisation study of the Murta reservoir in the Jena, Alwyn, Limestone-Creek, Biala & Ulandi (JALBU) area of the Nappacoongee-Murtereee Horst has been conducted to identify the potential recovery of oil from the lower permeability reservoir facies. The JALBU area provides an outstanding database from which to better understand the Murta reservoir. A comprehensive suite of excellent quality wireline logs is available in all wells and over 1,000ft of cores have been cut over the Murta Member in 21 of the 43 JALBU wells. Whilst limited SCAL data were available for the Murta Member in only six JALBU wells, additional SCAL data was collected from a separate basin-wide petrophysical study. This allowed critical reservoir parameters to be better constrained....
