During the report period, licensee Andromeda Metals did no on-ground exploration. During its agreed 3-year earn-in period, joint venturer Investigator Resources undertook the following work described herein: - acquisition of high resolution aerial photography across the entire tenement; - acquisition during October 2014 of part of a detailed airborne magnetic/radiometric/DEM survey flown across the entire tenement; - geological mapping and general prospecting; - Soil geochemical sampling over approximately 60% of the tenement area on a 500 m x 500 m grid, for partial leach method assaying; - re-logging of stored samples from selected previous drillholes; - acquisition during January 2015 of 127 ground gravity readings along two traverses crossing the Thurlga regional gravity high; - infill soil geochemical sampling to 250 m spacing over anomalous locations, plus further 250 m grid soil sampling over magnetic features in the western part of the tenement; - limited rock chip (37) grab sampling of outcrops; - employing a consultant to conduct geophysical data modelling of the Uno Fault in the Thurlga region; - performing exploratory aircore drilling of geochemical anomalies and conceptual Imiter style buried base metal targets located along the interpreted Uno Fault zone, as part of the SA Government partly subsidised PACE Initiative collaborative drilling project (with industry) DPY9-11 [for the previously separately released results of this work, see Env 13040]. During March 2017, 20 holes were drilled for a total penetration of 1076 m. Significant intersections of graphite were discovered in five holes drilled at the Ironstone and Ironstone North prospects, containing up to 13% total graphitic carbon, and low concentrations of silver, copper and nickel were also detected; - undertaking a scanning electron microscope / electron dispersive spectroscopic analysis of composite drill samples taken from high grade graphite intersections that were made in PACE Project drillholes TH17AC037B and TH17AC034. This showed that the graphite in the two drillholes is of moderate to high grade, but is also of very fine flake size. Although there are uses for this size graphite, the “premium” market requires coarse flake. There remains scope for finding flake graphite in the Ironstone prospect area and within the whole of the Thurlga Syncline region. Following Investigator Resources' withdrawal from the Thurlga JV on 5/10/2018, Andromeda Metals resumed management of the licence and began a search for a new joint venture partner. As no such party could be attracted to participate, a decision was made on 30/1/2019 to fully surrender tenure when the 5-year term of EL 5419 expired.
