An area in the south-west of the Frome Embayment, that was centred ~16 km south-southeast of Reaphook Hill, was taken up to explore for possible buried palaeochannel and sandstone hosted roll front style secondary uranium mineralisation which might have formed within the Tertiary age Namba and Eyre formations. Potential was also thought to exist for unconformity style base metal mineralisation and gold deposits that could be associated with faulting within Lower Cambrian limestone. No field work was done during the first licence year. Activities were limited to a making literature review and compilation of historical exploration data. The occurrence of reduced and oxidised sediments was noted and considered encouraging, with planned exploration aiming to determine the position of target redox fronts. During licence Year 2, no field work was done. During licence Year 3, a single vertical rotary mud exploratory hole was drilled (?when) to a total depth of 198 m to investigate a locality with interpreted shallow basement as deduced from historic airborne EM survey data. The Willawortina Formation was intersected from surface to 90 m downhole, and is underlain by the Namba Formation from 90 to 180 m. Weathered oxidised (goethitic) basement clays were logged over the interval 180-194 m, and more competent oxidised (haematitic) ?Adelaidean basement was drilled over the short interval 194 m to TD. Prior to attempting to do wireline geophysical logging, the sloughing open hole was washed out twice, but it remained blocked below 150 m. The gamma ray logging tool that was run above this depth in the hole did not record any radiometric anomalies. In late July 2016, a large part of the licence totalling 164 square km or ~45.9% of the original licence area was relinquished. No more work was done on the subject licence before it was fully surrendered.
