In a search for possible economic stratiform / hydrothermal base metal occurrences and stratabound phosphate mineral deposits in the Clare Hills district, an initial reconnaissance visit and literature search was followed by the conduct of a regional stream sediment survey (1862 samples). No significant geochemical anomalies were disclosed. Field inspection of a small copper-silver-lead-zinc anomaly located on the Alma Fault scarp 4 miles south of the Ingomar mine did not find any surface expression of mineralisation.
