A large area of ground surrounding the Paragon bore regional aeromagnetic anomaly complex was taken up to explore for possible buried economic occurrences of magnetite which could be hosted by Proterozoic BIF metasediments, as well as for possible buried Prominent Hill type IOCG mineralisation and Challenger style gold that may have formed within altered metamorphosed and structurally complex Archaean and Proterozoic basement rocks on the Mabel Creek High. No work was done during the first three years of tenure. During licence Year 4, Resource Holdings commissioned geophysical modelling of the SA Government's newly released 2017 Gawler Craton Airborne Survey (GCAS) Region 2A dataset for the western end of the Paragon bore anomaly complex and surrounds. This work highlighted an interpreted 1 km x 2 km dense, non-magnetic body that might represent a haematite-rich IOCG mineralised occurrence. High intensity linear magnetic anomalies straddling the non-magnetic zone were believed to denote magnetite-rich BIF horizons, sections of which were intersected in 1982 by Amoco Minerals' historic drillhole PB2, between 176 and 344 m hole depth. A work plan was devised to obtain data that would allow the calculation of a JORC-compliant iron ore resource estimate for the modelled exploration targets, if a joint venture partner could be attracted to fund ongoing activities on the subject tenement. Discussions were begun with several Australian and international parties. No work was done during licence Years 5 and 6, before a decision was made to allow tenure to lapse at the end of Year 6.
