A small and as yet undrilled area centred ~75 km north of Roxby Downs, where the buried top of pre-Adelaidean basement may lie at depths exceeding 2 km, is being explored for possible buried Olympic Dam style IOCG mineralisation even though the chance of identifying such targets located at drillable depths is probably slim. The first licence year was mainly taken up with doing logistical preparations and data reviews. • The historical data review was commenced and will be ongoing for some time. It is hoped that through the data review FMG geologists will build up a reasonable understanding of the facts derived from previous work completed and therefore the geology in the licence area, which will enable the company to make informed decisions regarding future exploration strategy. • A field reconnaissance trip was undertaken in the general area to identify the major public access routes that could possibly be used in any future exploration programs. • FMG also engaged with the traditional land owners to negotiate and finalise a land access agreement, which was signed recently.
