An area centred ~55 km west of Marree has been explored for possible buried economic stratiform copper and magnesite mineralisation. During the first licence year, no work occurred while Native Title land access negotiations were in progress. During licence Year 2, plans were made to investigate an apparently untested aeromagnetic anomaly in the north-eastern corner of the licence area. It was surmised that this anomaly could represent a domal structure formed in shallowly buried Neoproterozoic metasedimentary cover, possibly diapir-related and with potential for having breccia-hosted copper mineralisation, similar to what had been mined in an exposed similar setting at the historic Clara Saint Dora surface mine workings, a short distance to the south-east in the north-western Willouran Ranges. During licence Year 3, a 28.8 line km ground-based dipole-dipole IP survey was acquired in early October 2014. Interpretation of the resulting survey data in the following month identified anomalies of interest that appeared to be related to a shear zone in Neoproterozoic and older basement rocks, and could arise from MVT stratabound base metal sulphide mineralisation that might have formed in the adjacent carbonate units. The modelled horizontal cylinder-like chargeable source body was seen to closely coincide to the linear magnetic anomaly. A drill site was suggested for a test RC/diamond hole to be taken to 600 m depth. During licence Year 4, no work was done. The licensee said that other magnetic anomalies within the licence area also awaited drill testing. During licence Year 5, Daktyloi Metals began making preparations for conducting a single diamond hole drilling campaign within the 2014 IP survey grid, and submitted the required EPEPR documentation to DSD, which was approved. Quotations were sought from several drilling contractors who were accredited for safely drilling and completing holes that pass through the Great Artesian Basin aquifers. During licence Year 6 and 7, no work was done. Because of the stalled commencement to drilling, the EPEPR permission which was only valid for 12 months had expired, so it became incumbent on the licensee to resubmit this documentation to DPC/DEM for gaining another approval. Meanwhile, Daktyloi Metals also obtained a package of exploration data originating from Tasman Resources, who had held the Alberrie Creek ground previously (as EL 2772/3607 Bopeechee), which included extensive drilling records from the Clara Saint Dora mine prospect plus results of surface geochemical sampling and of several surface geophysical surveys. The company began reviewing these data for the purpose of defining additional potential drill targets. No more work occurred before the decision was made in late 2019 to fully surrender tenure.
