An intensely faulted and folded metasedimentary area centred ~50 km east-northeast of Blinman, where extensive hydrothermal alteration is evident in the Neoproterozoic bedrock, and where considerable past small-scale surface mining activity has occurred, but where no deep exploration of stratabound copper-mineralised rocks has yet been done, was taken up to assess the potential for drill testing of lodes showing promising mineralisation and fault structural control, which may possibly have had lesser but important saline fluid inputs exerted by neighbouring diapirs. During November-December 2018, the licensee made a field reconnaissance examination of many historic abandoned mine workings, prospecting pits and altered rocks, and 26 rock chip samples were collected for assaying. Following this, a review was performed on available mining records during September 2019, which identified the Wirrapowie, Jubilee and Pinda Springs mineralised zones as the most prospective areas to explore. Native Title land access negotiations were initiated but did not proceed apace. Obvious issues there were deemed to impede the advancement of the project, and a further stalling factor was that the licence renewal application was not completed in time.
