A licence consisting of three separate small sub-blocks located on the northern part of Mount Ive Station is being explored primarily for buried economic, basement hosted and structurally controlled hydrothermal Ag-Zn-Pb and epithermal Au-Ag-(Cu) vein style mineralisation, as well as for possible porphyry-related copper (±Au±Mo) deposits, for skarn/greisen Sn (W,Au,Cu) deposits, and for epithermal systems of Menninnie-Viper Pb-Zn-Ag and Paris Ag types. During the first licence year, purely office-based work focussed on data compilation and review, land access considerations, and planning of fieldwork to assist with delineation of basement structural features. There was a long disruption to technical data accessibility and processing capability that occurred during transition of the Terramin/MMPL corporate database to an external Cloud-based data management system. Other time-consuming distractions arose through interactions with several parties expressing strong interest in joint venturing some or all of MMPL’s five contiguous tenements making up the Mount Ive Project - each party having different priorities for JV exploration activities. MMPL considers that the resolution of existing gravity and aeromagnetic data is inadequate to enable further progress towards drill targeting the types of deposits considered compatible with current interpretations of all available data. During licence Year 2, intensive technical discussions and reviews were carried out with a series of potential joint venture partners, and limited ongoing reconnaissance traverse mapping and sampling were performed over ~97 km of tracks and fencelines. Gaining access to most of the land within the licence area remained on hold pending successful negotiation of a Part 9B Native Title Mining Agreement for Exploration with the Gawler Ranges Aboriginal Corporation (GRAC). The GRAC no longer supports new instances of the Gawler Ranges Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) negotiated with the Government of South Australia in 2005 for mineral exploration projects.
