Exploration Licence 6354 “Bendigo” covers an area of 490 square km and is located on the eastern Adelaide Fold Belt on the margins of the Murray Basin north-northeast of Burra. The area is considered prospective for both copper and gold with historic work undertaken in the area. The area is also prospective for kaolin clays, identified in the exploration of copper above the Bendigo Granite. The tenement is overlain almost in its entirety with alluvial cover that ranges from 0.5 m to over 150 m thick and is interpreted to cover buried Bendigo granites at depth. During licence year 1 to 24th June 2020, no ground disturbing activities were undertaken with exploration efforts being hampered by the restrictions applied due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During licence years 2-5 to 24th June 2024, no on-ground work was undertaken. A partial surrender was undertaken during the 5th reporting period, with an area of 240 square km surrendered. The decision was made not to further renew the exploration licence.
